Reiki originates in Japan, is pronounced rayki and is translated as Universal Life Force Energy.   Broken down 'Rei' is universal and 'ki' is life force energy.  This is the energy that flows within, surrounds and connects all living things.

How does Reiki work ?

In a treatment I connect to the energy,  the energy then flows through me to the client.  The energy does the work.

What does the energy do ?

Reiki can heal on many different levels.  Our thoughts, feelings, emotions, mental stress, physical strains and injuries can disrupt the flow of energy within the body and mind causing imbalance.

Reiki treatments restore balance on all levels by channelling the energy into the areas of the body and mind which are imbalanced.  Reiki energy fills the areas of imbalance with positive energy, causing the negative energy to be broken down and balance to be restored.

Reiki finds its way to the areas of the body which need it most.  In a treatment I focus on the bodies main energy centres, however if you have a specific area that you would like treated I can treat that too. 

Reiki is a simple, gentle but effective way of restoring balance to the body, mind and spirit.
